Tech Layoffs Top 225,000 as Oracle Cuts 13% of Staff to Fund AI
Tech companies have cut 225,122 jobs across 519 events since January 2026, already surpassing all of 2025. Oracle reduced its workforce from 162,000 to 141,000 while spending $55.7 billion on AI infrastructure and raising $43 billion in debt.
