Thonburian Whisper: Free On-Device Thai ASR, Free Even for Commercial Use

The Biomedical and Data Lab team at Mahidol University released the Thonburian Whisper ASR model suite based on OpenAI Whisper for Thai. Models range from small to large-v3, with best WER at 6.59%; the Apache 2.0 license permits commercial use.

• Distilled small and large-v3 versions available for fast operation
