Meta unveils 'Holograms' photorealistic avatars for Ray-Ban Display and VR glasses
Meta showed off Holograms (formerly Codec Avatars), photorealistic avatars generated via a selfie scan in its mobile app. They launch first in early access on Ray-Ban Display glasses in the US for WhatsApp video calls, with Meta VR Glasses support slated for Spring 2027.
