Glucosamine linked to faster Alzheimer's progression
University of Florida researchers analyzed health records from 2012–2024 and found glucosamine use was associated with a 25% higher likelihood that mild cognitive impairment would progress to dementia. Among patients with existing dementia, use was linked to a 25% higher mortality risk. The study was published in Nature Metabolism.
