Rolls-Royce SMR taps ŠKODA JS for reactor control systems on 470 MW units

Rolls-Royce SMR has selected Czech engineering firm ŠKODA JS to design and manufacture Control Rod Drive Mechanisms for its small modular reactors. ŠKODA JS will build a prototype first, then prepare serial production, with projected orders exceeding one billion Czech crowns per power station.

• Each module produces 470 MW with a design life over 60 years
