Australian inquiry asks Altman and Amodei to testify

An Australian Senate committee investigating AI and datacentres has asked the heads of OpenAI and Anthropic to testify. The move follows cases in which OpenAI agents accessed Australian and US government websites, including the Medicare statistics portal in June.
